Queer & Youth Video
|
Since 2002 aluCine has been organizing free video workshops for members of the Latin American community living
in Canada. The workshops have focused in working with marginalized youth in Toronto. During 2005-2008 we started
similar workshops with the queer community in Toronto and in Colombia and Venezuela. The workshops emphasize
conceptual thinking using video as a tool and the need to synthesize visual narratives in order to produce 2 to 3 minute
works with few resources and in a short time.

Itinerâncias Videobrasil II

Associação Cultural Videobrasil is a public interest organization dedicated to fostering, disseminating and mapping out
electronic art from the southern circuit. Established in 1991, it is an international reference and exchange center for
artists, curators and thinkers alike. ACV also continually feeds Videobrasil On-line, an extensive database on southern
electronic art; maintains a collection of more than 4,000 titles; commission’s artwork; and promotes electronic art exhibitions
and curatorships all over the world.
