INTERNATIONAL SCREENING OF CANADIAN FILM AND VIDEO As a Latin Media Festival in Canada, aluCine creates a North-South aesthetic convergence with the screening of Latin and non-Latin films and videos. aluCine believes in widening the definition of established culture by attempting to recreate an international context. We work to keep short film culture alive in formats such as: fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, art. With this in mind aluCine goes beyond the festival itself by organizing presentations of Canadian works as well as those from south of the border in order to keep ideas in equilibrium. aluCine would like to thank all artists who are presently participating in the sceenings in Colombia, Argentina, Brazil. We hope to get financing in the future as we would like to increase our reach even further. We hope that this important cultural exchange we will get the recognition allowing us to pay the artists fees.
