SUBMISSIONS
aluCine accepts submissions in all genres, experimental, fiction, doc, animation, video art, web of all lengths and subject matter bellow 30 minutes. The Festival Programming Committee result will be published our official website. All works selected for aluCine are eligible for the Awards (TBA).
All films produced outside of Canada are considered as International submissions.
For submission purposes, the Festival accepts DVD (All Formats and Regions). If selected to screen at the Festival, we accept the following exhibition formats: BetacamSp (NTSC or PAL), DigiBeta (NTSC or PAL), 35mm, MINI DV, Super 8 and 16mm.

ENTRY
No entry fees necessary
Deadline for submissions: MAY 31st, 2008.
Final decision Aug 15. 2008.

To submit your film for consideration, you must complete and submit aluCine’s online entry form. Please note that the entry form must be submitted to aluCine on or before the deadlines outlined above. The entry form must also be printed out and sent with you submission following enclosures:

Do not send film prints, master tapes or other originals. Note that aluCine does not accept international shipments via United Parcel Services (UPS) since this courier does not deliver international duty-free shipments to Toronto.

PROGRAMMING
All of aluCine screening programmes are curated and all submissions will be fully considered by aluCine’s programmers. Applicants will be notified by email by early Aug 15. 2008 if their work has been selected. The decision of the programmers is final. If a film is selected for screening at the festival, the entrant grants aluCine the right to utilize publicity materials related to the production (i.e. press kits, posters, stills, etc.) for promotional purposes, to broadcast or screen clips of a maximum of five minutes and to make dubs of their film for publicity purposes only.

RETURN OF EXHIBITION PRINTS/TAPES
AluCine WILL NOT BE RETURNING miniDV tapes only 35mm, 16mm, BetacamSP tape and DigiBeta tapes.
For exhibition purposes, the festival requires one of the following: 35mm film print, BetacamSP tape (NTSC or PAL), a DigiBeta tape (NTSC or PAL) MiniDV, 16mm print or Super 8. The deadline for receiving exhibition prints/tapes is TBA. The entrant is responsible for transportation and shipping of exhibition prints/tapes one way. All exhibition prints/tapes will be returned within four weeks after the festival to the 'primary contact' address listed on the Entry Form. If the film/video must be returned to an alternate address, the Festival must receive advance notification.

aluCine will retain one copy of each film/video presented for archival purposes.

AWARDS
Winning films/videos in all award categories are selected by a juries comprised of international and local film video makers, writers, poets etc.
