Ana Lara

Ana Lara, originating from the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro, is a Brazilian songstress, a gifted wordsmith, and a dynamic cultural producer deeply entrenched in Brazilian music. Ana Lara's artistic prowess bloomed early through her remarkably mature and profoundly evocative poetry and songwriting.

Since she arrived in Toronto in 2017, Ana Lara has graced prestigious Canadian festivals, including The Beats Series, TD Jazz Festival, VIBRA Festival, DO West Fest (formerly Dundas West Fest), and the Toronto International Brazil Fest. Ana's musical talents knew no boundaries, as she left her indelible mark on intimate yet unforgettable gatherings across the globe, from Singapore and London to Bali, Toronto, and New York.

Inspired by the multifaceted world of Brazilian new MPB, Samba and folk music, Ana Lara embarks on an innovative musical expedition, infusing her compositions with cutting-edge electronic elements as part of the burgeoning "Nova MPB" movement, representing the new generation of Brazilian Popular Music. Her avant-garde approach, characterized by modern synthesizers and effects, promises to craft a mesmerizing and contemporary sonic tapestry, introducing the younger generation to the eclectic rhythms that define Brazilian music.
