Leyenda Viva is a journey through the Colombian geography that is conceivably one of the most important intangible treasures of the country. In this journey through rivers and valleys, playing chords and guitars, Martín Nova meets legendary characters from Vallenato music which, with its stories, lyrics, and songs, has given life to an identity that represents us not only in Gran Magdalena, the region Vallenato, but further than local frontiers, reaching hundreds of places in the world.

From the first juglares until the interpreters that keep the Vallenato tradition alive, this film tells a story that is sung, Leyenda Viva is a reading of what defines us as Colombians, like that  Macondo that Gabriel Garcia Marquez narrated in his Vallenato of 350 pages: 100 years of Solitude.
